Halijah Leslie died of starvation on April 17 at only 45 days old. According to police, when her father returned from work, he found his daughter breathing but unresponsive. Halijah died at the hospital. In August, her parents, Hashawonn and Jasmine Leslie, were arrested and charged with second-degree murder and second-degree child cruelty. Both are free on bond.
