Joseph Benjamin was a father and mixed martial arts fighter who worked as a stunt double on locally filmed blockbusters and would dress as Spider-Man for kids’ birthday parties. He was shot Sept. 30 while working as a security guard at an Edgewood apartment complex. Police found his body near his Spider-Man-themed motorcycle. He was 40.
