Marcus Edwards Jr. was shot in the chest early on Dec. 1 at the Marketplace Apartments on Fairburn Road. He was 26. It was the first of three shootings reported in southwest Atlanta that day. In the 24 hours that followed, Atlanta police would discover three more bodies. Investigators do not believe the shootings are related.
