Muhammed Abdus-Salaam was a husband and father of two young daughters. The devout Muslim regularly held cookouts in his neighborhood where he and his family fed the homeless. He was shot outside his home on Oct. 7 while unloading groceries from his car in the 1000 block of Camilla Street. He was 42.
