Shadeeah Melton, 35, was shot May 22 in the 100 block of Fairburn Road. Melton, who was raised in Dayton, Ohio, was a star basketball player in high school and earned a communications degree from Jesuit University. She worked at Children’s Hospital in Cincinnati before moving to Atlanta, where she worked for a number of hospitals. Antonio Lamar Martin and Samantha Ariel Gardner were both charged with murder.
