He was shot in Atlanta.

Police believe Jones was shot and killed after he confronted his mother’s boyfriend in the front yard of a home on Croft Place. Investigators and witnesses said Jones confronted the boyfriend, Calvin Sneed, about the way he treated Jones’ mother. Sneed then allegedly fatally shot Jones. Sneed, a car salesman, was arrested without incident at a home about a week after the shooting.
