She died of unknown or undetermined causes in Atlanta.
Duffey, 1 year old, was taken to the hospital at around 9:50 a.m. after a family member noticed she was not alert nor breathing, according to a police report. About an hour later, the girl was pronounced dead. A medical examiner preliminarily ruled the death was accidental. A family member said the girl had been in and out of the hospital a few times, and doctors found nothing wrong each time. At the most recent visit, the girl was given antibiotics for a blister on the bottom of her foot, according to the report. The Fulton County Medical Examiner's Office later ruled her death a homicide resulting from blunt force trauma to the torso. Police arrested Michael Reynolds, the girl's mother's boyfriend.
